Ocwen - Homeowners Insurance auotmatically added to my mortgage payments
I've always paid my homeowners insurance payment separately from my mortgage payment. Every year Ocwen sends the full annual payment to the insurance company and causes my mortgage payment to drastically increase.
No one takes responsibility for this mistake and I'm left with the financial devastation it causes and I have to jump throught hoops to get it reversed. I am a victim of this vicious cycle and do not understand why it keeps happening or how to get it to stop. My homeowners insurance has always been automatically debited from my account, but every time it happens, Ocwen states the insurance company requested it, but the insurance company states it is Ocwen's request. Luckily I caught the mistake in time this time and the insurance company is sending the check back to Ocwen.
However, other times this has gone unnoticed and caused my mortgage payment to skyrocket, which included late fees etc. Is this happening to anyone else?
Reason of review: Problems with payment.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
Ocwen Cons: Dishonest mortgage practices.
Location: Florissant, Missouri

I am fighting with them on this very issue! I kept sending them proof of insurance and then without my knowledge, they created an escrow account on insurance I had already paid!
I found out about it immediately, and am now waiting for them to credit my account because I sent them the refund check from the insurance company.
No one every responds to my letters or e-mails either.
All part of the ocwen scam they screw it up and say it's your fault and charge you
Yup. We didn't pay seperate but they would pay insurance late than they said it was cancelled because of late payment than forced there partners insurance and was triple the cost
