We had our home for 9 years. Our loan was resold to Ocwen.

Within a month of having them servicing our loan, we were told we were late on payments. It was impossible to get anyone that spoke english on the phone that knew anything about our account. Finally we were told the we could do a modification to our loan to catch up the "Late payment". We were told to stop making a monthly payment during the time the modification was going through.

4 months later we were told that we made too much money for the Government Modification program and didn't make enough for the Ocwen in house modification program, and they we had to pay in full over $10,000 in mortgage and fees. We were told we could NOT send payments in that it had to be paid in full. We fought with them for months over this. Finally they offered us to do a Deed in Lieu.

We felt at that point it would be the best thing for us to do. So we did everything we were told, filled out all paperwork, faxed, emailed and mailed them back and we moved out on the date the informed us we were to move. All the while fighting with trying to speak with someone. 6 months after we dutifully moved out, we received a notice from a lawyer that our house was sold at Foreclosure auction.

This was devastating to us as we feel our home was stolen from us by a bunch of crooks! Consider this your warning and beware of the crooks of Ocwen!
