For the second time in less than three years, Ocwen has informed us that our escrow account is "deficient." The first time happened right after they purchased our loan from IndyMac. According to IndyMac (at the time), all payments had been made in full and our escrow account was flush.

Once Ocwen took over our loan, all of a sudden it was "deficient" and we owed thousands of dollars towards it. We arranged a payment plan that was supposed to take care of it within a year then all of a sudden, we are informed that it is again deficient by nearly $2,000. When I reviewed last year's 1098, it shows we had a nearly $400 surplus at the end of the year and when you add up our annual property taxes and insurance, the total is less than the amount that goes into the escrow account every year. The county also informed us that for the fourth year in a row, our property taxes are not going up.

When we try discussing this with Ocwen, they keep repeating that their "Escrow Analysis" shows a deficit. When I Googled Ocwen Escrow Problems, I see THOUSANDS of complaints from people having the same exact problem.

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

Monetary Loss: $3000.

Preferred solution: Accurate accounting of escrow accounts and refunds applied, where applicable..

Ocwen Cons: No clear answers.

Location: Los Angeles, California

I am having major problems that I can not get fixed. I paid the amount due on my loan every month and I have proof but no one cares there.

I am now getting messages that my loan is now 4 months past due . When I try to talk to someone, I always get a different person on the phone. They are now telling me that they took my 2014 payments and applied them to 2013 . They are trying to say I under paid not true I pd exactly what I was suppose to pay.

One month it says everything is pd as agreed next month they are saying I am 4 month behind. I a so stressed out.

Honestly, why do we not turn these crooks into the Feds???? I know there are thousands of pissed off customers who have been continuously ignored and/or ripped off.

Why don't we all get together and do something about it?

Our homes and families are at stake. A nice settlement action suit would be nice.
