To the person who Ocwen doesn't pay the escrowed taxes try this
This is a response to the person who pays escrow for Ocwen to pay the property tax and yet Ocwen does not make timely payments and the person must constantly go to city hall. You are luckier than the rest of us I suggest you go buy your house for the price of the tax lien(s) (through a lawyer so it covers the fact of it being you). Then you can say good riddance to Ocwen.
Ocwen has an entire department to investigate ways to escrow the non-escrowed mortgages. Insurance purchased by the lender or Ocwen is almost twice the price then if you bought it yourself. Then Ocwen only needs proof of purchase through a copy of the Declaration Page.
You may also request to waive the escrow and pay taxes and insurance yourself. Whoever told you that you can't has lied to you. You just cannot have a negative balance in the escrow to do so. Escrow is YOUR money.
If you don't want anything more than for Ocwen to do its job then contact the lender company about Ocwen and report Ocwen to consumer financial protection bureau as well and senator. Ocwen is not a mortgage company instead it is a service company working for the loan company that lends money (loan).
